Entre Orwell e Huxley. O “Totalitarismo gentil” descrito por Jonah Goldberg.
Temos lido e ouvido falar em Orwell e seu “1984” constantemente para, de certa maneira, confirmar o totalitarismo que vivenciamos ontem, hoje e num futuro próximo (ditaduras, lockdowns, “passaporte sanitário”, vigilância eletrônica, censura das Big Techs, etc).
No entanto, como muito bem observado por Jonah Goldberg, podemos dizer, que experimentamos mais o “Totalitarismo gentil” de Aldous Huxley do que o “Totalitarismo enérgico” previsto por Orwell.
Comparando as distopias de Orwell e Huxley, Goldberg, em seu livro “Liberal Fascism”, escreveu:
“O século XX nos deu duas visões de um futuro distópico, o “Admirável mundo novo, de Aldous Huxley, e o 1984 de George Orwell. Durante muitos anos, tornou-se como dado que 1984 era o conto mais profético. Mas já não é mais assim. O totalitarismo de 1984 foi um produto da era de Stalin, Lenin, Hitler e Mussolini, os ditadores de um continente com uma importante tradição de absolutismo político e religioso. O “Admirável mundo novo” era uma distopia baseada num futuro “americano”, onde Henry Ford é lembrado como um messias (passa-se no 632 d.C.) e o culto da juventude, tão desprezado por Huxley, define a sociedade. Tudo é fácil sob o Governo Mundial. Todo mundo é feliz.”
Frisemos: “tudo é fácil sob o Governo Mundial. Todo mundo é feliz.”
É o que, de certa forma, prevê, em 2030, o Fórum econômico mundial: “você não vai ter nada e será feliz”.
Goldberg, ainda refletindo a visão de mundo descrita em “Admirável mundo novo”, escreveu também:
“É um mundo de pessoas sorridentes, felizes, geneticamente construídas mascando chicletes hormonais e alegremente fazendo o que é mandado. A democracia é um modismo esquecido porque as coisas são muito mais fáceis quando o Estado toma todas as decisões em seu lugar.”
É o “totalitarismo gentil” ou “Fascismo liberal, segundo ele.
Esse tipo de totalitarismo é uma forma de controle total do indivíduo a partir de “boas intenções”, com imposições científicas irrefreáveis à conduta humana e com a colaboração de boa parte da sociedade. Ocasiona a perda da liberdade e a falência do indivíduo em troca do “bem estar” movido pelo determinismo científico.
No nosso tempo, confirmando esse estado de coisas descrito acima, as “boas intenções” podem ser tipificadas, por exemplo, com o cuidado da saúde do indivíduo pelo Estado ajudado por corporações farmacêuticas e tecnológicas, sob às ordens de bilionários globalistas ou ditaduras. A campanha mundial de vacinação contra a covid-19 pode exemplificar isso também.
Totalitarismo, seja qual for, destrói o ser humano e pode acabar com o mundo. E se a destruição vier através desse “Totalitarismo gentil”, podemos afirmar que não ouviremos “uma explosão, mas um suspiro”, como disse T.S. Eliot.
